Over the next several days, I will be sharing a series of personal blog posts discussing who I am, why I chose Minnesota, what I have experienced while living here, and why I decided to run for Governor.

Many people have asked me questions like: “Why Minnesota?” “Why now?” “Why you?”

Instead of reducing those answers down to political slogans or thirty-second soundbites, I want to answer them honestly, thoroughly, and directly.

Some of these posts will be personal. Some will be difficult. Some will discuss experiences that shaped my views on public safety, education, healthcare, foster care, work, housing, and everyday life in Minnesota.

But together, they will help explain not only who I am, but why I believe Minnesota deserves leadership grounded in real-world lived experience, not just political theory.

This is not about perfection.

It is about honesty, perspective, service, and the belief that ordinary people deserve to be heard too.
